Holbrook, NY March 31, 2020 – Green Team LI is proud to announce that they were awarded the 2020 Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Contractor of the Year Award by the US Department of Energy for outstanding efforts to provide energy saving options to LI homeowners. Green Team LI’s accomplishments will be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., on April 2, 2021. The original ceremony was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.
“I salute the 2020 ENERGY STAR award winners,” said Anne Idsal, EPA Principal Deputy Assistant Administrator for Air and Radiation. “These leaders demonstrate how energy efficiency drives economic competitiveness in tandem with environmental protection.” Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Contractor of the Year is awarded to Home Performance with ENERGY STAR participating contractors that exhibit outstanding professionalism, build strong customer relationships, and apply building science solutions to improve homes.
